Tour 1 - understand the contexts of past and present
We'll understand the contexts of past and present, Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions, by getting the geographical perspective from the MT of Olives. Way of Cross and Church of Holy Sepulcher where Christians remember the passion and death of Jesus but also the resurrection. We'll also see where Jews remember their past. The 4 quarters of the Old City.
Tour 2 - Where it all began
This day's a really breathtaking experience! City of David-the historic nucleus - where it all began. From there we'll continue to impressing underground areas - a city underneath a city Southern and Western wall and excavations to go to the Pinnacle of the Temple and "The entrance" to the Temple from the time of Jesus Western wall tunnels. Temple Mt (also called by Muslims Haram a-sharif- the noble sanctuary). Subject to Political situation. Sometimes long lines due to intense security checks and limited visiting hours visitors here- especially woman- must be extremely modestly clothed. Tour 5 - Judean Hills - done from Jerusalem
Our suggestion is to have at least 2 days for this itinerary
Elah valley where David fought Goliath. We'll also get to know Israel's "Hummus Capital" additional days for more relaxing lush landscapes but very interesting sites rarely done by most visitors including Valley Abu Gosh - biblical Kiryat Yearim- where Ark of the covenant was before being brought by David to Jerusalem. It's also a possible location of Emmaus. Har Adar- let yourself be surprised with one of the most impressing sites and stories in the country!
